Results in All Types of Motor Vehicle Accident Cases

In addition to car crashes, our lawyers handle all other types of motor vehicle accident claims, including:

Onalaska Personal Injury Lawyer With Extensive Experience Handling Rear-End Collisions

The most common type of car accident is the rear-end collision. While these accidents can be devastating, many are low-speed collisions that result in a flexion-extension injury or whiplash. These can be serious and life-changing injuries, requiring a great deal of medical attention.

Whiplash cases are extremely challenging because there isn’t the level of hard evidence of injury that would be available in cases involving broken bones. A whiplash injury isn’t something that can be seen on X-rays or other medical tests and sometimes symptoms caused by brain injuries or back injuries and spinal cord injuries resulting from whiplash do not immediately manifest themselves and can be difficult to diagnose.

Instead of objective evidence of injury, we need to rely on the testimony of doctors to explain to juries the nature of the injury. Our experience means our La Crosse car accident attorneys are able to handle these and all other types of car accident injury claims.

On-the-Job Car Accidents

When an auto accident takes place while the victim is driving as part of his or her job, workers’ compensation is one avenue of compensation. However, it may not be the only opportunity for compensation. We may be able to file an insurance and/or personal injury claim to get compensation above and beyond that which would be provided by workers’ comp.

Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Claims

Just because the at-fault driver has little or no insurance coverage does not mean that the victim cannot get compensation. Additional compensation can be sought from the victim’s own uninsured and underinsured motorist insurance carrier. For example, if the negligent driver has a $25,000 liability policy limit, but the damages total $125,000, we can file a claim for the additional $100,000 from the victim’s underinsured motorist insurance carrier. Our experienced attorneys will find all sources of compensation, especially in cases of catastrophic injury or where a fatal accident has occurred resulting in a wrongful death.
